Faith2Green is committed to advocating on behalf of environmentally concerned citizens, on the local, state and national levels.

Endorsement of the Kyoto Protocol

Faith2Green was part of a national effort urging the commit to the signing and ratification of the Kyoto Protocol. This international agreement calls upon all nations to limit both production and emission of heat-trapping greenhouse gases scientifically linked to global warming. Although the President refused U.S. adoption of the Protocol in March 2001, the worldwide commitment remains strong and efforts continue towards international ratification.

In November of 2001, David Rosenstein and Lee Wallach continued to represent the views of Faith2Green and the interfaith community by testifying at California's Global Climate Change Hearings in Santa Monica, CA.

Faith2Green is now actively supporting California Assemblymember Fran Pavley in her effort to have the State of California sign on to the Kyoto Accords. As the 5th largest economy in the world, and a progressive leader on many issues, California would maintain its place at the forefront of environmental policy through this symbolic gesture.
