For fifteen years, Galanter represented the coastal district surrounding Venice and LAX. In 2002, Council district lines were redrawn, and Galanter now represents portions of the Southeast San Fernando Valley. Galanter is most proud of the environmental reforms she has brought to the City of Los Angeles, including water conservation, recycling programs, and restoring the Ballona Wetlands. She served on the California Coastal Commission for four years prior to her election. For Assemblymember Fran Pavley, protecting California’s environment, including the coastal district she represents, is one of Pavley’s top legislative priorities. Pavley chairs the Assembly Select Committee on Air and Water Quality, and also chairs the Budget Subcommittee on Resources. She also serves on the Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee. Richard S. Ziman is the Chairman and CEO of Arden Realty, the largest office landlord in Southern California. Ziman is a nationally recognized leader of energy efficiency in construction, and the founder of next>edge, which provides energy solutions to Arden’s tenants and others. Under Ziman’s leadership, Arden invested more than $25 million to increase energy efficiency in its properties." |
