 Faith2Green and Children’s Nature Institute are joining together to bring you KidsROCK, a music and nature festival that will be taking place on Sunday, May 17th. At the event, you can enjoy live music performances, fair arts & crafts and live animal encounters in a beautiful park setting.

You and your family will listen to great music performed by Tom Freund and other local artists while you spread out for a picnic in the grass and enjoy arts and crafts at the Nature Fair.

Temple Beth Israel will once again be holding a native Plant Sale in honor of Tu B’Shvat. Under the leadership of Jerry Schneider, buyers will be provided instruction in the use and care of California native plants. California natives require NO WATER once they get established, and are very easy to care for. Learn how to use them in your home landscaping.

LBT’s Green Team, rabbis, and educator invite you to taste the sweetness of the season and celebrate the earth. Take a journey through time and across your spiritual landscape to learn our tradition’s wise and prescient teachings about the environment. Travel from season to season, tasting wines and fruits representing the states of the earth and the states of our souls. Plant trees, flowers, and vegetables in the Leo Baeck Temple Community Garden and help us launch Leo Baeck Temple’s Composting Program, as we return our fruit peels and pits to the earth.

Tu B'Shvat is one of the Jewish environmental holidays. It is a celebration of the "Birthday of the Trees" and a reminder to be responsible stewards of creation. It is one of our best opportunities to join in a Jewish celebration of nature, take steps to preserve and restore the earth and educate our community about Jewish environmental values.
