Tu B'Shvat is one of the Jewish environmental holidays and is coming up on February 13, 2006. It is a celebration of the "Birthday of the Trees" and a reminder to be responsible stewards of creation. It is one of our best opportunities to join in a Jewish celebration of nature, take steps to preserve and restore the earth and educate our community about Jewish environmental values.
Tu B'Shvat programming spans over two weeks and includes various activities such as tree plantings, moonlight hikes, festivals, storytelling sessions, Tu B’Shvat seders and services, and much more. These activities are held throughout the greater Los Angeles area, and they give dozens of community and environmental partners of CoejlSC a chance to reach out to thousands of members of the faith communities.
